The default keyboard shortcut to launch an instance of Screen Sketch snip is Windows + Shift + S. Since the default keyboard shortcut requires pressing three keys simultaneously, it’s better to configure the Print Screen (PrtScn) key to open Screen Sketch snip.
Navigate to Settings app > Ease of Access > Keyboard, and turn on Use the PrtScn button to open screen snipping option.
Create a desktop shortcut for Screen Sketch snip
This tip is for users who use the mouse more than the keyboard! Creating a desktop shortcut for Screen Sketch app is not useful as it won’t help you to launch the Screen Sketch snip quickly. You need to create desktop shortcut for Screen Sketch snip instead of the app. To do that:
Step 1: Right-click on desktop > click New > click Shortcut.
Step 2: Type the following path in the location field. Click Next.
Step 3: Enter a name for the shortcut. Click Finish button to create the desktop shortcut.

In addition to keyboard shortcuts and other methods, you can also launch Screen Sketch snip from the Run command box. Simply type the following command to open Screen Sketch snip.
Pin Screen Sketch snip to the taskbar
You can pin Screen Sketch app the taskbar with ease, but it won’t help you launch the snip (it opens the app instead).
If you want to pin the shortcut to Screen Sketch snip, refer to the directions given above to create desktop shortcut for Screen Sketch snip and then drag and drop the shortcut to the taskbar to pin it.
